When Tutorials

When we talk about tutorials we mean online tutorials, which are created to describe a resource or process.  Online tutorials are usually comprised of screenshots, animation, a voice-over and sometimes moving images of people demonstrating a task.

The first step is to identify your audience, and decide what want to tell them.

You might want to make a tutorial if

  • your intent is to describe use of a resource
  • you are describing a process, e.g., printing
