Remote Storage Facility  

Beginning in the summer of 2011, the University Libraries opted to remove paper copies of journals where full-text access is available online from highly reliable and stable sources. We are beginning this process with titles available in JSTOR.

Why are we doing this?

• Most of our Washington University community members and users have demonstrated a preference for electronically-available journals
• University Library system is experiencing space shortages for our users and for our collections while striving to expand our digital horizons
• It is our expectation that in most cases users will find what they need online
