The Bloomberg Lab

The Kopolow Business Library hosts a Bloomberg Lab where students, faculty and staff can explore and analyze real-time financial market data on Bloomberg terminals. Bloomberg is a premier data service that is sold primarily to institutional investors. Bloomberg features include an extensive news service, as well as historical price and graphical information for stocks, bonds, options, etc.

The Bloomberg Lab is located near the entrance of the Kopolow Business Library in room 299A. There are 8 terminals which are available for use when official instruction sessions are not occurring. Bloomberg is available in 11 languages.

No drinks or food are allowed in the lab.

Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is a self-paced e-learning course that is available through the Bloomberg for Education website. It provides an interactive introduction to the financial markets. BMC consists of 3 sections – Core Concepts (includes four modules – Economic Indicators, Currencies, Fixed Income, Equities), Getting Started on the Terminal and Portfolio Management.
