Research Support

• Identify articles, books, and other sources of information for your research
• Help with citation searches for yourself or colleagues

Teaching & Learning

• Present to your class an introduction to relevant resources, in-person or on Zoom
• Embed in your Canvas Course in a non-grading role to share library resources, answer questions, etc.

Collections

• Purchase resources for your research and teaching
• Help place items on reserve in the library or online
• Involve you in evaluating resources and future purchasing decisions

Authoring & Publishing

• Research journals and select a journal for publication
• Identify journals that are Open Access and explain how the library can support Article Processing Charges
• Assist you with copyright issues; check the copyright policy of a  journal; provide assistance with university rules for publication

Problem Solving

• Troubleshoot library software issues for you—proxy and wireless access, Zotero, etc.
• Act as liaison between you and other library units— Circulation, Interlibrary Loan, Reserves
• Follow up on your ideas for improvement in services and collections

Items flagged for deaccessioning based on their condition, redundancy, out-of-scope holdings, or care requirements will be posted on the Libraries’ website for one month, to allow for faculty review and comments before removal from the Libraries’ collections. We are not considering student retention recommendations at this time. Retained items, after any necessary treatment, will be returned to library stacks.
