Important Features of Databases

Use the important features of the databases. Below are ones that I like.

  •   email a record or a pdf (if possible) to your self
  •   click on the GetIt button
  •   click on a Subject heading that looks useful
  •   examine the abstract for some words in it that would be good keyword search terms
  •   use Cite to get the citation into the MLA format
  •   Go to the References of an article you retrieve & find a good article to search for in the database

The Get it! Button

  • Not all articles are available as a pdf
  • Here is an example of what happens when an article is not available online; you will need to request it from interlibrary loan.
