In this session, participants will learn how to manage dissertation writing effectively. Dr. Peter Kastor (Professor and Chair, Department of History), a dissertation advisor to many graduate students, will discuss best practices and pitfalls to avoid. Dr. Trevor Sangrey (Lecturer, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies), who completed her dissertation in 2012, will talk about her own writing experience. Dr. Robert Patterson, Writing Center Director, and Steve Pijut, Writing Center Associate Director, will highlight writing support services available on campus, and librarians will briefly overview other dissertation and time management resources.
