What I do

As Subject Librarian:

  • Provide individual research consultations, by appointment, as walk-ins, and as referrals from the Help Desk
  • Provide group instruction in research skills and tools
  • Support the research and collection development needs of the English Department faculty and students
  • Assist with citation management softwares such as Zotero and Mendeley
  • Support faculty use of Blackboard

As Instruction Coordinator:

  • Provide training and support in pedagogy  for library staff.  My favorites--peer coaching, active learning, and effective questioning techniques
  • Liaise with the College Writing Program, particularly freshman writing classes
  • Create  materials for freshman writing librarians
  • Create and maintain video tutorials and online research guides
