Off-Campus Access (Proxy Server and VPN)

Use this guide to log into the proxy server, get access to electronic resources from off-campus, and get tips on how to use off-campus access.

EZProxy and VPN (Virtual Private Network)

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides secure access to campus networks from off-campus.  The WashU VPN allows you to connect to library electronic resources that require a secure Washington University network connection.  You can connect to library resources through the VPN without having to login to the proxy server.  However, if you are having problems accessing resources, you may need to disconnect from the VPN, login to the proxy server with your WUSTL key, and then proceed to the desired ebook, ejournal, or database through the library catalog or website.

Setting up a VPN

VPN services at Washington University are provided by Information Services & Technology. If you are interested in VPN services, please go to the Washington University Information Technology Connect page for more information and instructions.
