Interpreting Title Results from a print/online search: Example - The New Yorker
Print/online search: Results will show all access points for the title. Sometimes there are many entries showing different segments of coverage, i.e, a particular range of years, a separate entry for title variants over time. (See below--I have highlighted both the print and online options you're most likely looking for.)

There are a couple of other options that will get you to the correct items; discovering the correct option may require a bit of trial and error.
