Affirmative Action: Sets of policies and practices within a government or organization seeking to include particular groups that were historically discriminated against based on their gender, race, sexuality, creed or nationality in areas in which such groups are underrepresented. 

College Admissions: The process of applying and advocating for oneself to an institution of higher education for hopes of being accepted to attend as a student.
