Requesting Chapter Scans

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department will scan book chapters upon request. Copyright guidelines allow up to 10% (approximately) of a book to be scanned.

How to request a book chapter scan (using a DOI number)

The easiest way to request a book chapter (or article) is by using its "DOI" (Digital Object Identifier--a unique number, like an ISBN, for an article). If you don't have a DOI, you can enter the chapter's fields manually.

Find the chapter's DOI number

Find "Citation Linker" on the library website

Click the "Book" radio button, paste the chapter's DOI number into the "DOI" field, and click Find it.

Note: include the number only, not the "doi.org/" part.
