Interrogate Data: Data Exploration and Analysis

This section is divided between qualitative, quantitative, and digital humanities tool lists. Some of these tools will make more than one list and others are very specialized.

Qualitative data tools, also known as qualitative data analysis (QDA) software, help researchers analyze non-numerical data in a systematic way. These tools can help researchers organize, code, and visualize data to identify patterns and themes.

Quantitative data tools are able to work with numeric-based data to count, measure, and calculate variables.

Digital Humanities tools combine visual, spatial, temporal, quantitative, and qualitative representations to develop rich digital projects which tell a computationally sophisticated story.
