The Journal of Classics Teaching (JCT) aims to be the leading journal for teachers of Latin, ancient Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History internationally. JCT covers the primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors and welcomes articles and short book reviews of interest to Classics teachers.
This book brings together twenty major approaches to the use of technology in the classroom and presents them for a wide, international audience. It thus forms a record of current and developing practice, promotes further discussion and use among practitioners (teachers, learners and trainers) and offers suggestions for changes in pedagogical practices in the teaching of Classics for the better.
This book provides a concise and engaging history of classical education in English schools, beginning in 1500 with massive educational developments in England as humanist studies reached this country from abroad; it ends with the headmastership of Thomas Arnold of Rugby School, who died in 1842, and whose influence on schools helped secure Latin and Greek as the staple of an English education.
VRoma is a community of teachers and learners who share a passion for the ancient world and includes resources for teaching and learning Latin and ancient Roman culture and an interactive virtual world based on ancient Rome (the MOO), all created by community members. Its goals are to promote Latin teaching and learning, enable remote collaboration between and among instructors at all levels, and provide professional development for use of technology for teaching and learning.
