You can search by TITLE or WORD for films in Washington WashU Libraries' catalog. Typically you can search by the title in the original language OR the translated title. To search for films by a particular director or actor, search by AUTHOR.

Streaming Film

Kanopy
Kanopy is a streaming film service for libraries. The University Libraries have opted to only license titles that have been requested by instructors for their courses, so unfortunately we have a limited selection, but those that have been licensed can be viewed by the entire campus community.

Swank Digital Campus provides streaming access to 1000 feature films, documentaries, foreign films, and television episodes from the largest movie studios, including Walt Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, NBCUniversal, Columbia Pictures, Lions Gate, MGM, Miramax and many more.
Academic Video Online This link opens in a new window
Academic Video Online is the most comprehensive video subscription available to libraries. It delivers over 70,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. To find film, select "film" as the subject. Results can also be filtered by language.

Goethe-Institut Onleihe
This free service allows you to borrow german-language digital media, such as ebooks, audiobooks, streaming film, and electronic newspapers and magazines, for a predetermined period of time, by downloading them from the Goethe-Institut's eLibrary. Requires individual registration.
