These books have torn spine covering material, and/or deteriorated or missing spines. Sometimes these spines are tattered and worn, sometimes the result of a spine torn downward due to earlier headcap damage. Included in "missing spines" would be those that are spiral-bound. They should be sent to the Preservation Unit for rebinding.
