Electronic Course Reserves (Ares)

The Brown School Library has adopted a new system for managing library electronic course reserves called Ares. Students will now have one place to go to access article/book chapter PDFs, eBooks, and print book information for Brown School courses using library reserves.

To access required course readings using the new Ares system:

  1. Log in to Ares with your WUSTL Key.
  2. Courses you are enrolled in using Brown School Library course reserves are displayed on the main menu.
  3. Choose a course to see reserve items that your instructor has made available.
  4. Click Show Details to see information about print items on reserve at the Brown School Library (see image below).
  5. Click View Item to be taken to the full-text in a database or PDF (see image below).

Of note: Contact the Library (brownlibrary@wustl.edu) if you were recently added to a course and you don't see it listed on your available courses. Library staff will happily grant you access, however, it could also be the case that the instructor is not using library course reserves.
