Library Resources for Alumni

Alumni Library Access

As an alum, you are welcome to visit our library M-F 8:30 am – 6:00 pm. While you are here, you can log-on to our guest Wi-Fi and access online library resources.  You may also schedule time with Susan Fowler or Lori Siegel for reference assistance.

Alumni Edition Database Collection

Due to lack of use, Brown School Library is phasing out our Alumni Collection. Following is the timeline of this phase out:

January 1, 2020, we will not be creating new Alumni Edition accounts.
May 1, 2020, access will no longer be available for Academic Search Alumni
July 1, 2020, access will no longer be available for SocINDEX for Alumni, CINAHL for Alumni

Public Libraries
Public libraries provide access to many of the databases alumni used during their time at Brown School and their inter-library loan service is usually free or available at a nominal charge. Once you have your public library card set up, you can access most of what you want online.  In St. Louis you can have accounts with all four library systems...

St. Louis County Library
Municipal Library Consortia (University City, Webster, Kirkwood, etc…),

Freely Available Online Resources
We have some helpful guidance on searching free resources to keep up with clinical research available and also hand-curated lists of free articles here:

Alumni WUSTL Keys
While you are a student or employed here, your WUSTL key is how you access library resources online. When you graduate, you maintain your WUSTL Key as an alum so you can access your transcript via WebStac but it will no longer give you access to online library resources.
