Video/Multimedia in the Danforth/West Campus Libraries

When Washington University has a video/multimedia item on your topic, feel free to visit the campus library and check out the item.  If the item is in a Danforth/West Campus library, consider requesting the item.  Requested items usually take 3-4 business days to arrive at your specified pick-up location.  When the item arrives, the pick-up location will notify you.  You can monitor the status of your requests in My CatalogNote: Some videos/multimedia may not be requested.  Note: The WUSTL medical library is not available as a pick-up location.

  Interlibrary Loan for Video/Multimedia

If WUSTL has the needed video/multimedia item in a Danforth/West Campus library, consider requesting that it be sent to the WUSTL library of your choice for pick-up.  It usually takes 3-4 business days to arrive at your specified pick-up location. The pick-up location will notify you when the item arrives.  Note: The WUSTL medical library is not available as a pick-up location.

If WUSTL does not have the needed video/multimedia item, consider requesting the item through the MOBIUS system.  Most items are available for pick-up at the Danforth/West Campus library of your choice.  The item usually arrives within 3-7 business days.  The WUSTL library that you chose as a pick-up location will notify you when the item arrives. You can also use My Catalog to check on the status of your MOBIUS requests.
If the video/multimedia item is available in the MOBIUS system, and you don't want to wait the 3-7 business days, you can visit the MOBIUS library and check out the item.  Make sure to bring your Washington University ID card.  Several MOBIUS libraries are in the St. Louis area and are accessible via bus and/or MetroLink.
When done with your MOBIUS item, return it to any Danforth/West Campus library.  Note: MOBIUS audiovisuals/multimedia may not be renewed.

If MOBIUS does not have your needed item, consider requesting the item through the ILLiad Interlibrary Loan System.  (NOTE: If your local public library has the video/multimedia item, you will have the item a lot faster if you visit your public library.)  Items requested through ILLiad usually take 2-3 weeks to arrive.

Note: Many libraries do not lend video/multimedia items.  Therefore, be aware that success rate varies.
