Library resources and services are available to Washington University Students, Staff, and Faculty, Once you have graduated or moved on to another employer, access to library services and resources change. To see what access you might have, read on...

Alumni

Databases: Alumni can sign up for access to three databases; SocINDEX for Alumni, CINAHL for Alumni, and Academic Search: Alumni Edition. This access is to the databases and will only include full text to articles available via open access for free online. 

To sign up for free access to these databases, please send an email to Susan Fowler at fowler@wustl.edu. Please include the following in your email:

  • Your name 
  • Your email
  • Your address
  • Your graduation year
  • A username – please make this something recognizable maybe your username for your email or internet system
  • A password – something you will remember 
     

Books for One Year: Alumni can borrow books from the Brown School Library for one year after their graduation date. 

Books After One Year: Century Club Members: Washington University alumni and St. Louis residents can check out materials from the Libraries by joining the Century Club. A basic membership is $100 per year. (Does not include off-campus access to most databases and e-journals.)

Remote Access: Once you have graduated you will no longer be able to access online library resources remotely.  

Online Resources: Alumni can use most online resources at the library with a guest pass via a hardwired computer. There are some ebooks they will not be able to access. 

Library Building: You are welcome to visit the library M-F between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. For all other times, please make arrangements with the library staff.


Inter-library Loan and MOBIUS: Once you have graduated, you will no longer have access to inter-library loan or MOBIUS. Your local public library offers inter-library. 
 

Visitors & Other Users

Visitors & Other Users are welcome to visit the library M-F between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. 

Online Resources: Alumni can use most online resources at the library with a guest pass via a hardwired computer. There are some ebooks they will not be able to access. 

Books: Visitors will not be able to check out library materials. 

Other UsersSome users do have more library privileges including MOBIUS members, HEC Card Holders, and OCLC cardholders. For more information click here
